Boshu Sushi
In the city of Tateyama, there are more than 20 sushi restaurants, earning it the reputation of being the “town of sushi.” Tateyama boasts numerous sushi establishments offering a style known as “Boshu Sushi,” or “country-style sushi.” This type of sushi differs from the compact “Edo-style sushi,” as both the toppings and rice are notably larger. Moreover, the super fresh fish nigiri sushi, made using fish caught early in the morning on the same day, is also highly popular.
